Fleet Vehicle Policies & Etiquette
1. Our shared pool vehicles are for company use ONLY. Pre-approval from your manager is required for you to drive a fleet vehicle with anyone who is not a PR employee.
2. Please do not take keys to the fleet vehicles the day before or turn in the keys the day after you are scheduled, unless approved by your manager.
3. Please fill the fleet vehicle up with gas before returning it. The PIN code is the last 4 of the VIN which is also the last 4 digits of the fuel card. If you are having trouble with your gas card at the pump, please call (209) 577-6000 for help.
4. Please empty all trash, clothes, boots, backpacks, etc. from the cab and bed of the vehicle before returning.
5. If the fleet vehicle has been damaged in any way while you are in possession (i.e. wrecked, windshield repair, missing parts, etc.), please notify me as soon as possible. If you receive a rock chip while driving or see a new chip in a windshield, please notify me as soon as possible. We want to get chips repaired immediately to avoid having to replace an entire windshield.
6. Do not drive any fleet vehicle if you are impaired in any manner including fatigue or if you are concerned for your safety due to potentially dangerous driving conditions including road or weather.
7. Please be courteous and treat the fleet vehicle as you would your own!
